Little Big Planet Delayed! Release date moved to the week of Oct 27.
Due to some religious references found in the lyrics of one of the games background tracks, SCEE has announced that Little Big Planet would be delayed for a short while. The game scheduled to hit retails next week will suffer a short delay while the currently shipped copies are recalled and the new discs with the background track removed are manufactured and shipped.
Sony made the following comments on the Official Playstation Blog.
“…it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur’an. We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologize for any offense that this may have caused.
We will begin shipping LittleBigPlanet to retail in North America the week of October 27th…”

I live in Canada and went to the EB games in Niagara Falls and picked up a copy of little Big Planet today (10/25/08) and they had 20 or more copies on the shelf.
