Countdown to LittleBigPlanet Launch

UPDATE Oct. 28: Congratulations to LBP fans in North America! You’ve made it!
UPDATE Oct. 24: According to an interesting but unconfirmed and unverified news (maybe rumour?!), LittleBigPlanet is going to be available at Gamestop tomorrow Saturday Oct. 25th. According to some posts in related forums, some people have received phone calls from Gamestop saying that LittleBigPlanet is going to be available on their shelves, Saturday Oct. 25th. It happens while thier website shows Oct. 28th as the release date.
So finally, here is a flash countdown timer to LittleBigPlanet’s launch, currently based on Oct. 21 2008 (Fingures crossed) Nov. 4th 2008 (Based on Amazon’s release date) Oct. 28th (based on gamestop, futureshop and bestbuy’s release date) Nov. 5th 2008 for LBP release date for UK but it’s pretty customizable so you can change it to any time you want in future.

Here is how to change the date:
In the html code given above, change the value of both instances of the following variables to the date you want:
lyear: is the year of the target date in four digit format. (i.e. lyear=2008)
lmonth: is the month of the target date (i.e. lmonth=10 for October)
lday: is the date of the month! (i.e. lday=28 as the possible launch date in Europe)
Please note there are two places you need to change for each of the variables above.

Well, I guess I have to change the countdown timer according to the recent news! I was excited to see the counter shows less than 4 days and then the news of LBP Delayed just ruined my day :-s

I picked up LBP last night @ midnight! Been playing it all night! The servers aren’t online yet, but everything else is working fine. Go check Wal-Mart, that’s where we got ours..

I just checked Bestbuy’s and gamestop’s websites and they both show 10/28. May I know where have you got this news? Is it official?
I’ve also asked the staff at EB games about their release date and they just said “sometime between Oct. 28th and 31st”! Sony also announced that they will start shipping the discs in north America, Oct. 27th so according to this announcement, if anyone is selling LBP before that day, it’s probably the recalled versions.(which is even more valuable these days :D)

I found some posts on forums saying they’ve got a phone call from gamestop, blah blah but I wonder how I can’t find anything official about it, anywhere!
The whole press release process about this game is just weird!

I got mine from Gamestop today. They only got 7 in store so it was only in for people who pre-ordered (was what I was told).
